The latter, designed by architect Massimiliano Raggi together with SICIS Lab team, represents iconic Italian buildings and features leather-covered interiors, drawers with mosaic fronts and the highest attention to detail. Relief decoration, wood intaglio, antiqued lacquers and gold-leaf covered wood, pay tribute to traditional Italian craftsmanship. The aim is to showcase the best in
Italian artistry by using richly detailed materials and pairings.
Paesaggio Italiano, designed and handmade by Francesca Fabbri for SICIS Unique Art, is one of the top items which will be showcased, a real art piece. The headboard recreates an Italian landscape – San Gimignano, Tuscany – at night. Its face is entirely covered with minute mosaic tesserae, cut and placed by hand in Ravenna, in 24 kt gold, platinum and black glass, which follow curvy lines. Mosaic on any kind of area, just like a soft fabric, just like silk.
This headboard features a 3D drape embellished with gold tesserae as well, the astonishing outcome of more than 1000 hours of hand work.
