THE SUBJECT OF THE THIRD EDITION: CHANGE

The current edition of Fuori di Design 2014 wants to explore the subject of change, the passage from past to future and offers this image to inspire young talents through an alphabetical list of keywords.

Fuorididesign 2014 – Open Call for designers

Entrants must submit to Fuori di Design 2014: CHANGE a product that fulfills at least three qualities chosen among the keywords from the alphabet list.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for Fuori di Design 2014: CHANGE, the following criteria must be met:

Participant Requirements

Designers and students of all design disciplines who have not reached 40 years of age on January 1st 2014 are admitted to the competition.

The project submitted has not been exhibited in a previous edition of the Milano Design Week

The exhibit might also be a models/prototype or a mock-up but it has to be a material item

The applicant understands and accepts that her/his work will be integrated in a collection selected, displayed and staged by Materioteca® and DesignLibrary Milano during the Milano Design Week

HOW TO SUBMIT

Send your application form to info@fuorididesign.com before February 21st
The project must be presented as one .PDF file (horizontal format / 6 pg, 5MB max) to explain the challenge and solution.

The project must contain at least:

n_03 pictures or n_03 render (upper view, side view, front view), size A4, printing quality
a technical description giving main data: material, approximate volume, approximate weight, etc.
at least three keywords chosen and subsequent brief (max .120 words)
a short description of the product (max. 300 words)
a short cv (max. 300 words)

Entries that do not comply with the formal regulations and which have not been submitted by the closing date (February 21, 2014) will not be taken into consideration (the effective date is the date of receipt).

Condition of participation

Materioteca® and DesignLibrary Milano will select the most worthy projects by February 27th.
Each of the selected applicants is required to contribute to setting expenses with 500*€ (100 € due on February 28th and the balance on March 31st)

All costs for shipment and return shipment of the entry must be paid by the participant.

The registration fee includes:

A display area at DesignLibrary Milano (via Savona, 11) during the Design Week (April 8-13, 2014)
Customized banner with picture and credits of the designer
Communication (press release, press preview, web site, video interview)
One year subscription to IMAKE Association
Welcome aperitif at the vernissage
