VIENNA DESIGN WEEK è il più grande Festival sul Design in Austria che coinvolge i professionisti e il grande pubblico. Si tratta di una vetrina per progetti nazionali ed internazionali, inerenti la formazione, processi creativi e produttivi, esplorando diversi approcci sperimentali nel campo dell’ architettura e della progettazione in tutte le diverse discipline – grafica, prodotti, mobili, industriali e progettazione.
La gran parte degli eventi diffusi sono stati pensati appositamente per la VIENNA DESIGN WEEK.
Il calendario è ricco di mostre, laboratori, progetti partecipativi, conferenze, cooperazioni e visite guidate in tutta la città di Vienna.
Sono 150 gli eventi che animeranno la Vienna Design Week dal 25 settembre al 4 ottobre 2015.
Il Festival, è a cura di Lilli Hollein, tra gli obbiettivi della manifestazione, promuove una nuova consapevolezza del design e considerandolo non solo
nella sua funzione estetica, ma anzi mostrare come vi sia una componente profonda alla base della nostra vita quotidiana.
The VIENNA DESIGN WEEK is Austria’s biggest design festival and bridges the gap between the specialist and the wider public. It is a showcase for national and international projects, formations, creative and production processes, exploring experimental approaches in architecture
and of course design in all its facets – graphic, product, furniture, industrial and social design.
Most of the contributions are commissioned by the Festival and created especially for the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK.
Hence in autumn we can once more present a great number of different features in the form of exhibitions, workshops, participatory projects, talks, cooperative ventures and guided tours throughout Vienna.
The 150 events of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK invite visitors between 25 September and 4 October 2015 to discover new, surprising and landmark aspects of our product culture.
The Festival, curated by Lilli Hollein, promotes a new awareness of design and considers it not only in its aesthetic function, but above all as a profound and elemental constituent of our everyday life.
