London, Berlin, Kortrijk, New York and Milan. Since 2010 Ventura Projects has been selecting and showing the latest insights in the fast-changing international design world.

It took her two years to find the perfect spot, but Ventura’s founder and director of Organisation in Design Margriet Vollenberg has managed once more to locate the ideal place for international designers to present their work during the Milan Design Week. Ventura Centrale is Ventura Lambrate’s big sister and the latest addition to the 8th edition of Ventura Lambrate Milan (4 – 9 April 2017).

“Ventura Centrale has the magic of a busy environment, being located in the warehouses of Milan’s Central Station, combined with the ambience of a place of abandoned beauty.” Its warehouses have been closed off for thirty years and were once used as laboratories, studios and depots. Ventura Centrale offers space to brands with an international reputation that are looking for a unique way to let a large section of the Milan design community experience their work. The first confirmed names are; Lee Broom, MAARTEN BAAS by Lensvelt, Baars & Bloemhoff and Salviati in collaboration with Ben Gorham and Luca Nichetto.

We are delighted to announce that award-winning British designer Lee Broom will present his Salone del Mobile 2017 show at Ventura Centrale. Broom will display a unique and immersive installation celebrating the landmark tenth anniversary of the Lee Broom brand.

MAARTEN BAAS by Lensvelt will search for the confrontation during Ventura Centrale 2017. The confrontation between uniformity and unicity. Is this confrontation random or made by own choices? Does consumption even give you a choice? Some of the questions that MAARTEN BAAS by Lensvelt will answer in Milan, this spring.

Following a successful first edition of Transitions, Baars & Bloemhoff invited once again six designers to imagine and shape its decorative materials in Transitions II. The results will be presented in Milan during Ventura Centrale, 4-9 April 2017.

Salviati participates at Milan Design Week 2017 with an innovative and exclusive lighting/interior project in collaboration with Ben Gorham and Luca Nichetto: two different ways to interpret Salviati’s idea of lighting in design. Luca Nichetto on his presentation at Ventura Centrale: “The warehouses are a blank canvas waiting to be transformed by the delicate touch and imagination of a designer.”
