Danskina @imm cologne 2014

Danskina is exhibiting during imm cologne in January 2014 with a collection of five new products including three designs from its new design director, Hella Jongerius.
Jongerius’s first pieces for Danskina include Bold, Duotone, and Multitone. All three designs are made from 100 percent pure wool by skilled weavers from
India and New Zealand. Thick, warm and highly tactile they each feature an appealing irregularity that comes from processes used in their making.
Lucky and East are two new designs from Shanghai based Dutch designer Karin An Rijlaarsdam. Similarly organic and tactile, the new rugs take inspiration from
her international travels. They have been handmade by craftsmen in Northern India.
These five rugs from Danskina mark the beginnings of a new direction for the company. All celebrating the beauty to be found in simplicity and in handmade
imperfection, they represent Danskina’s commitment to design, material innovation and skilled craftsmanship.
Also launching at imm cologne is a reissue of Dune, originally designed by Ulf Moritz. Dune is now available in a new colour palette by Giulio Ridolfo, inspired by
landscapes in the north of Denmark.
