An oasis of snug comfort – this is how to describe the feeling of well-being that perfuses you when you sit in the soft upholstery of avec plaisir. At the end of December, Kati Meyer-Brühl received the Good Design Award 2012 – her 32^nd award – for the sofas and chairs of the avec plaisir range.

The internationally renowned design award is presented once a year by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, and honours outstanding design achievements.

The avec plaisir seating is characterised by an elementary form with organic curves, which appears innovative and timeless. Available for selection are an option with a smooth cover and a tacked option, for which a number of colours and covering materials are available. High-quality workmanship and removable covers for the model with a smooth cover guarantee a long service life. The different models provide the user with a lot of scope for the individual design of his living area.

Every year, several thousand designs are submitted for the Good Design Award on a global level. The winners are recorded in the Good Design Yearbook 2012-2013.
