MONZA TABLE CUSTOMIZED

The MONZA table is one of Plank’s most versatile and customisable solutions for use in residential, hospitality, and office environments. It was designed by Konstantin Grcic to accompany the MONZA chair and armchair and features the same modern aesthetic, combining two materials to create a visual contrast that emphasises its functionality.

The MONZA table comprises solid ash or extruded aluminium legs that are fixed to surfaces made from extremely resistant high-pressure laminate in black or white finishes. An innovative die-cast aluminium joint that connects the legs to the table top enables surfaces of varying dimensions to be specified without needing to alter this standardised component. Any type of leg can also be fitted to the joint and removed easily to help make the product suitable for flat-pack shipping.

Plank has worked with architects and designers on several projects that involved customising the MONZA table to meet specific functional and aesthetic requirements. For the dining hall of a girls’ boarding school in Merano, Italy, the table was adapted to incorporate storage beneath the table top and the aluminium legs were powder coated to match the coloured backs of the accompanying MONZA chairs. The canteen of a financial services provider in Liechtenstein was also recently furnished with MONZA armchairs and specially produced elongated versions of the MONZA table that make optimal use of the available space.

Available in round, square or rectangular variations that can be fully customised, the MONZA table is a flexible item suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Its simple, elegant form complements the MONZA chair and other contemporary furniture designs, making it a practical and stylish solution for a wide range of project applications.
